Harold “Doc” Edgerton website / Second Place: Arts
This unique project is an interactive site available online and to the public on workstations for visitors to the MIT Museum exhibition on the inventor of high speed strobotrophic photography, Harold “Doc” Edgerton. The site is a digital museum, showing and describing the collection of images by and about this inventor, cataloging anecdotes written about him, and allowing users to view pages of his detailed notebooks. The project came with two significant challenges. First, the client wanted Wordpress as the CMS, but didn’t want it to look like a Wordpress site. The second big challenge was that we had to complete all of the design within two weeks.
